About Facides Dione
Facides Dione is the study association for (I)FM
Since the 2004-2005 academic year, Facides Dione has been working to make the (International) Facility Management course at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen stronger as well as more social. This academic year we celebrate our 20th anniversary, and with over 750 members we are an active and thriving study association.
The meaning behind the name
Facides Dione has a profound meaning. ‘Facides’ stands for “filled/with content,” while “Dione” refers to Dionysus, the god of wine and joy. This reflects the core of our association: an association that combines content with a strong social component.
Mission and activities
Our mission is to provide students at the Institute of (International) Facility Management with a valuable and unforgettable student experience. We achieve this by:
- Study-related activities, such as excursions & lectures that match the content of the programme and contribute to the professional development of our members.
- Social events, including get-togethers, parties and other informal gatherings, aimed at strengthening mutual relationships and creating a strong and engaged community.
Our strength
Facides Dione is built on the commitment and motivation of its members. Thanks to an active group of students involved in organising events and keeping the association running, we can call ourselves a successful association.
